MINUTES
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Scott Wessel at 7:00 p.m. in the City Building at 2135 South Ammon Road,
Ammon, Idaho. Greg Maeser led the Pledge of Allegiance.

MINUTES:
April 4, 2012: Commissioner Tom Hunsaker moved to accept the minutes of April 4, 2012, as presented.
Commissioner Steve Richards seconded the motion. All in favor – the motion passed.
PUBLIC HEARINGS:
Chairman Scott Wessel opened the public hearing and explained the hearing process to the public. No
written comment was received.

2012-008 – Conditional Use Request – District 93 – Hillcrest High School – 2 New Modulars and Extension of Existing
Modulars:
Ron Folsom said that Roger Hill is here to explain what he wants for each hearing.
Roger Hill 3497 N Ammon Road, Ammon Idaho, representing the school district. Roger said the School District would like
to move one modular from Ammon Elementary and one from Tiebreaker Elementary and place them at Hill Crest High School. They
will also be removing the modular from Bridgewater Elementary. He would like the CUP to be extended to five years in hope that
they will have a new High School built before the CUP expires.
Commissioner Tom Hunsaker explained how the ordinance defines a temporary building.
Commissioner Quinn Simmons moved to recommended to the City Council for the approval of the 2012-008 Conditional
Use Request – District 93 – Hillcrest High School – 2 New Modulars and Extension of Existing Modulars for five years, through
August 2017. Commissioner Greg Maeser seconded the motion. All in favor – the motion passed.
2012-009 - Conditional Use Request – District 93 – Ammon Elementary – Extension of Existing Modular:
Commissioner Steve Richards moved to recommend to the City Council for the approval of the 2012-009 – Conditional Use
Request – District 93 – Ammon Elementary – Extension of Existing Modular for a period of five years, through August 2017.
Commissioner Robert Taylor seconded the motion. All in favor – the motion passed.
2012-010 - Conditional Use Request – District 93 – Tie Breaker Elementary – Extension of Existing Modular:
Commissioner Tom Hunsaker moved to recommended to the City Council for the approval of the 2012-010 – Conditional
Use Request – District 93 – Tie Breaker Elementary – Extension of Existing Modular for a period of five years, through August 2017.
Commissioner Quinn Simmons seconded the motion. All in favor – the motion passed.
ACTION ITEMS:
Recommendation on additional hearings
: Commissioner Tom Hunsaker moved to recommend to City Council on all three
public hearings for no additional hearings. Commissioner Robert Taylor seconded the motion. All in favor – the motion passed.

- Ron Folsom explained what happened in the Council meetings for the month of May.
2. City of Idaho Falls Planning and Zoning Actions
– No Report.
3. Bonneville County Planning and Zoning Actions
– Commissioner Tom Hunsaker reported that on the north side of
Township Road immediately east of the Kingdom Hall, the owner wants to expand a daycare into a private school consisting of
preschool through 6th grade with an emphasis on interacting with and caring for small farm animals and fowl. The County Planning
and Zoning Commission recommended approval subject to installation or expansion of all required utilities and services.

favor – the motion passed.
