Call to Order: Cindy Donovan, City Planner, at 9:06 a.m.

Minutes: August 13, 2025 - Approved
Citizen's Concerns:
1. Clarissa - Received an email about current safety risks at Owen St/Carolyn Ln
and the proposed solutions to the problem.
The Commission discussed safety and parking issues caused by the nearby schools. No Parking
signs, with or without time frames, and installing RRFBs at the crosswalk were some options.
Cindy will reach out to School District 93 and offer to work with them for a solution. Tony and
Morgan will work together on the RRFBs.
2. Jennifer Caywood, 3227 Sky Mountain Ct - She wants a crosswalk painted at Blue Grass Ln/E
Sky Mountain Ct. (behind Bridgewater School). It is dangerous when school lets out and the kids
cross the street with no crosswalk. There is a gap in the school fencing
that kids go through and then cross the street. A crosswalk exists at Blue Grass Ln/Indian Hollow
Dr. The fence needs closed. Discussed painting the existing crosswalk ($800-$1000). Tony will
get the 2 lines painted on the crosswalk and see if 'puppy prints" could be used on it. There isn't
a crosswalk or a crossing condition on the exterior of Indian Hollow Dr, which will definitely be
looked into. Cindy will get with School District 93.
Street Division Updates: The 1st St and 17th St bridges are functioning well. The signage on the 1st St
bridge is complete. There isn't a starting date for the work to be done on the middle of the John Adams
Pkwy/Curlew Dr roundabout. North Curlew Dr will be the same width as John Adams Pkwy.

1. Speeding issues on Western Ave: The "Scout" will be put up to gather speed data.
