City Council Monthly Meeting held 12 June -1967,called to order by
Mayor Mel Richardson at 8:15 P.M.
Minutes of meeting held May 8,1967 were read and approved.
Officer Dalton Strain was asked to check on L.R.Likes water source and
supply,will be checked again for sanitat.ion.
City clerk Dermont Ricks reported Monte Howell had paid $55.00 on his water
account and asked for a change in billing. ,.,e wants the city to bill direct
to his renter~, he will furnish the names and guarntee a $10.00 deposit
from each apartment,he also wants the city to collect the balance of back
water bill from Phil Barlow who is renting the house.
It was reported that Mr Dick Wiemer wants to move a barn in the City limints
near his home which is being apposed by his neighbors.
Mayor Richardson stated that the Regional Planning Commission is being
organized and asked for a representative from the City of Ammon.Mayor
recommended l\ex Budge he was appointed, the council approved.

C. Rny Southwick reported that some of the Councilmen, the Mayor and City
Engineer Dave Benton met with the Bonneville County Commissioners and Jay
Painter ,checked on the condition of the Ammon and Lincoln road and 17th st.
The COlT'JIlissioneers agreed to furnish the material if the City of Ammon
would do the work in repairing the holes. The County also agreed to do the
work if the City of Ammon would furnish the material in widening the bridge
on Ammon road and 26thst.,The bridge work cannot be done until next fall when
the water is tunned out of the ditch.

La Venn Williams is to do this road work as soon as possible.
The program for the Association of Idaho Cities was reviewed,Mayor Richardson
C. Roy Southwick and Leo Heer are planning to attend.
C. Keith BroT,.'Il1 stated there are several complai nts on irregular garbage
pickups. The garbage truck should soon be back in service,need a transmission and
power takeoff.

Swimming pool work is dragging because of wet rainey weather. C. Keith Brown
is going to try and exchange the expense of the leak test for a new guard
tower.
La Vern Williams l.Jas asked to check the Ernest Mattin warehouse drainage and
report to the County ilHealth Department.
C. Leo Heer asked for articles from each Councilmen and hayer to be put in
the news letter which will be published soon.
June 26,at 8P.M. was set for a special meeting for members of the Local Improve-
ment Dist.i3,they will be advised as to their assessments.A quorum of the
Council will be required to attend.
House numbers and names of some of the streets in the city will be changed
to conform Hi t.h the county in the near future.
The City has declared Levi Clements yard a public nuisance 8.nd must be cleaned
up. Att. Joe Anderson was asked to notify him by letter.
Officer Dalton Strain will locate noxious weeds to be sprayed by Bonnville
County. The Council approved t~ pay Officer Strains insurance premium of $23.40
per month.
e.Leo Heer suggested the City takesome action in helping Officer Strain to
pay his docter and hospital bills accumilated during his injury while working
for the City.

C. Leo Heer made motion the City Council accept ord.#77-Imp. Dist.#3.Seconded
by C.Roy Southwick. Motion carried.
Claims approved and signed.
