2013-009 Woodland Hills Modular NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING #2013-009 DEVELOPER OR DEVELOPMENT REQUESTED ACTION May 21, 2013 The City of Ammon, Planning and Zoning Commission hereby gives notice that it will conduct a public hearing concerning the extension of the existing conditional use permit allowing modular classrooms at Woodland Hills Elementary School. The request is to allow the current conditional use permit to be extended for the single modular unit containing two (2) classrooms for a period of three (3) years. The public hearing will be held at the City of Ammon office building located at 2135 S Ammon Road, Ammon, Idaho beginning at 7:00PM on Wednesday, June 5, 2013. The description of the lands to which the application applies is as follows: The location of the school is 4700 Sweetwater Way, generally located north of 49th South (Township Road), south of Sunnyside Road, east of Ammon Road and west of 45th East (Crowley Road). The legal description of the property is as follows: Lot 1, Block 23, Solitude, Division No. 1, an addition to the City of Ammon, Bonneville County, Idaho. The written copy of the request is available at the City office daily from 8:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. The public hearing scheduled pursuant to this notice will be limited to issues associated with the contents of the request. Public testimony will be taken only with respect to the request and the issues of the request. All information and testimony previously entered in this matter will remain part of the record and will be considered. Parties with an interest in this proceeding are requested to participate by filing written comment or by appearing at the hearing to testify on the record. Individual members of the Planning and Zoning Commission or the City Council should not be contacted outside the formal hearing process. Adopted hearing procedures will be used in regards to this procedure. Those procedures require that all written materials be submitted to the City of Ammon office no later than 5:00PM on May 31, 2013. All such written submittals will be available for public inspection the day after they are submitted to the Office of the Planning Director of the City of Ammon. Written testimony received after the deadline date may not be included in the record and may be rejected as part of the proceedings. In the event a person will be unable to attend the hearing, the Planning and Zoning Commission and the City Council encourages persons to submit written evidence concerning their position in this matter. Oral testimony may be limited to three (3) minutes by the Chairman on the night of the hearing. If oral testimony is limited, persons may elect to name a spokesperson in lieu of personal testimony. An agreed upon spokesperson may be allotted up to fifteen (15) minutes of testimony as the representative of persons waiving their opportunity to testify. The Planning and Zoning Commission reserves the right to modify the hearing procedures set forth herein in order to foster fairness or to allow orderly consideration of the above cited request. City of Ammon Planning and Zoning Commission Ron Folsom, Planning Director CITY OF AMMON NOTICE OF HEARING #2013-009 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a meeting of the City of Ammon Planning and Zoning Commission will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at 7:00 p.m. at the City Building, 2135 South Ammon Road, Ammon, Idaho to conduct a public hearing to consider a request by Bonneville School District 93 for the extension of the existing conditional use permit allowing modular classrooms at Woodland Hills Elementary School. Currently there is one modular building containing two (2) classrooms. The request is to extend the use of the modular classrooms for a period of three years. A copy of the written request is available at City Hall or on the City’s website at www.cityofammon.us. The location of the school is 4700 Sweetwater Way, generally located north of 49th South (Township Road), south of Sunnyside Road, east of Ammon Road and west of 45th East (Crowley Road).
