2013-007 District 93 - Modulars for Hillcrest High School NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING #2013-007 DEVELOPER OR DEVELOPMENT REQUESTED ACTION May 22, 2013 The City of Ammon, Planning and Zoning Commission hereby gives notice that it will conduct a public hearing concerning a request for a conditional use permit by Bonneville School District 93, to place two additional modular buildings to provide four additional classrooms at Hillcrest High School. The request is asking to grant an additional two (2) modulars at Hillcrest High School for up to three (3) years and that all modulars currently located at Hillcrest High School be extended through the same expiration date. There are currently four (4) modular buildings at Hillcrest for a total of eight (8) classrooms. The addition of the modulars in this request would increase the total to six (6) modulars for a total of twelve (12) classrooms. The general location of the property is north of Sunnyside Road, south of 17th Street, east of S 25th East (Hitt Road) and west of Western Avenue. The public hearing will be held at the City of Ammon office building located at 2135 S Ammon Road, Ammon, Idaho beginning at 7:00PM on June 5, 2013. The legal description of the land to which the application applies is as follows: Lot 1, Block 1 of School District No. 93 Subdivision, Division No. 1 to the City of Ammon, Bonneville County, Idaho. The written copy of the request is available at the City office daily from 8:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. The public hearing scheduled pursuant to this notice will be limited to issues associated with the contents of the request. Public testimony will be taken only with respect to the request and the issues of the request. All information and testimony previously entered in this matter will remain part of the record and will be considered. Parties with an interest in this proceeding are requested to participate by filing written comment or by appearing at the hearing to testify on the record. Individual members of the Planning and Zoning Commission or the City Council should not be contacted outside the formal hearing process. Adopted hearing procedures will be used in regards to this procedure. Those procedures require that all written materials be submitted to the City of Ammon office no later than 5:00PM on May 31, 2013. All such written submittals will be available for public inspection the day after they are submitted to the Office of the Planning Director of the City of Ammon. Written testimony received after the deadline date may not be included in the record and may be rejected as part of the proceedings. In the event a person will be unable to attend the hearing, the Planning and Zoning Commission and the City Council encourages persons to submit written evidence concerning their position in this matter. Oral testimony may be limited to three (3) minutes by the chairman on the night of the hearing. If oral testimony is limited, persons may elect to name a spokesperson in lieu of personal testimony. An agreed upon spokesperson may be allotted up to fifteen (15) minutes of testimony as the representative of persons waiving their opportunity to testify. The Planning and Zoning Commission reserves the right to modify the hearing procedures set forth herein in order to foster fairness or to allow orderly consideration of the above cited request. City of Ammon Planning and Zoning Commission Ron Folsom, Planning Director CITY OF AMMON NOTICE OF HEARING #2013-007 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a meeting of the City of Ammon Planning and Zoning Commission will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at 7:00 p.m. at the City Building, 2135 South Ammon Road, Ammon, Idaho to conduct a public hearing to consider a request for a Conditional Use permit by Bonneville School District 93, to place two additional modular buildings to provide four additional classrooms at Hillcrest High School. Currently there are four modular units at the school with a total of eight classrooms; if granted this request would bring the total of modulars to six with a total of twelve classrooms. The request is asking to grant a time period for the new and the existing modular units for three years. A copy of the written request is available at City Hall or on the City’s website at www.cityofammon.us. The general location of the property is north of Sunnyside Road, south of 17th Street, east of S 25th East (Hitt Road) and west of Western Avenue, City of Ammon, Bonneville County, Idaho. The property is zoned R1 (residential). The legal description of subject property being: Lot 1, Block 1 of School District No. 93 Subdivision, Division No. 1 to the City of Ammon, Bonneville County, Idaho. Following said hearing; the Planning and Zoning Commission will make a recommendation concerning the requested Conditional Use Permit to the Ammon City Council. At said hearing all parties in interest and citizens of Ammon shall have an opportunity to be heard in relation to all matters pertaining thereto. Deadline for written comment submission is 5:00pm on May 31, 2013.
