Planning Minutes 05/02/1995 . CITY OF AMMON PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION May 2, 1995 The meeting Mark Scrogham. Molen Street. was called to order at 7: 30 P.M. by Chairman It was held at the Anunon City Building, 3270 The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was led By Kathy Dansie. MEMBERS PRESENT Dick Bybee Ron Folsom Jim Southwick Brian Taylor Kathy Dansie Elaine McGary Roger Stommel, Vice-chairman Mark Scrogham, Chairman MEMBERS ABSENT Dixie Cut forth OFFICIALS PRESENT Carol Ragan, DClerk David Wadsworth, PWD Dave Benton, CEngineer The Minutes of April 4, 1995, were presented for approval. Jim Southwick motioned they be approved as written. Roger Stomme1 seconded the motion. Voting was unanimous. The motion carried. . The first item of business was a request from Bob Carter to build a mini-mart/sporting goods store with gas pumps at 2895 E. 17th Street. (Chambers Addition). Due to the non-appearance of the applicant, Jim Southwick moved to table the request. Dick Bybee seconded the motion. Voting was unanimous. The motion carried. City Engineer David Benton presented a master plan for Rex TV and Appliances. It includes a retail building of about 15,000 square feet and a distribution building 99,997 square feet in a Phase II and 117,360 square feet in Phase III buildings. It is to be located on E. 17th Street between the Chambers Addition and Trai1wood Drive west of Kmart. The commission reviewed the plan and asked Mr. Benton about the number of accesses requested, landscaping. It was also stated the commission felt the distribution center buildings should be in a GC-l zone, leaving that portion C-l that would house the retail building. Mr. Benton stated they would only be doing the retail building at this time, which would be Phase I. . The Bonneville County Report was given by Jim Southwick as follows: (1) recommended approval of rezone of 19 acres on the East side of 45th East (Crowley Rd.), 2/3 mile South of 49th South (Township Rd.) from A-1 (agriculture) to RA-2 (Residential Agriculture). Request was by Layne Merritt. (2) Approval of the Preliminary Plat of Serenity Heights (same
