The first item discussed on the agenda was Mountain River Engineering - Preliminary
Plat. Garth Cunningham explained his desire to annex property on the southeast comer of
Sunnyside and Hilt Roads. He would like to divide the lots to include C-l (Commercial), R3-A
(Residence) which would allow Professional Buildings, and R-2 (Residence) which would allow
Townhouses. Dick Skidmore stated that they were considering Idaho Falls for annexation also,
and that they just wanted a feel for the zoning and to know if Ammon wanted them. He talked to
Darwin Judy and Ferrell Wood and neither had any objections. Joe Anderson was also contacted
and he saw no problem, legally, with annexing. The commission expressed their concerns about
traffic on Sunnyside Road. Dick Skidmore said there would be no Sunnyside Rd. entrances and a
light would be installed at the corner of Sunnyside and Hilt Roads. After more discussion
regarding buffers and accesses on Hilt Road, the Commission voted unanimously in favor of the
project.
Chairman Kevin Murray asked Vice-Chairman Ron Folsom to conduct the balance of the
. meeting.
