First item of Business was the preliminary and final plat for Briarwood Division #3 presented
by Paul Snarr with Benton Engineering. The Commission reviewed the information provided.
Dick Bybee questioned the distance from the railroad that the lots must be. The lots must be
200' from the tracks and all these lots comply with.
Dick Bybee moved to recommend the approval of Briarwood Division #3. Kevin Murray
seconded the motion. Voting was unanimous in favor. The motion carried.
Tom Hunsaker wanted to bring to the attention of Benton Engineering and Mark Johnson some
changes being made to the Comprehensive Plan and some Ordinances. Tom also had questions
on the properties facing Ammon Road now, and would they be able to tie into the Briarwood
Divisions at a later date. The Commission also discussed with Mark Johnson where to put the
Briarwood Park
Ron Folsom wanted to read item #4 under arterial before continuing, residential lots adjacent to
arterial streets shall have reverse frontage and have an additional rear yard or side yard
requirement. Ron wondered whether the>, would want to change the wording because it sounds
like an additional side yard is all right. Engineer Manwill commented that what is trying to be
. done is no access onto the arterial. The Commission agreed to leave the wording as it is.
Ira Hall reported on City Council actions. Kevin Murray reported on Bonneville County
Planning and Zoning actions.
