February 1, 2000
Minutes of the Regular Meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission:
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Greg Maeser at 6:35 p.m. in the City
Building at 2135 South Ammon Road, Ammon, Idaho.

Dick Bybee led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
The minutes of the Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting held January 4, 2000, were
reviewed. Corrections pointed out were: page 3, paragraph 3, line 1 change "painted" to
"pointed"; page 2, paragraph 5, line 6 deleted one "in the"; page 2, paragraph 6, line 5 change
"packing" to "parking". Dick Bybee moved to approve the minutes of January 4, 2000, as
corrected. Ron Folsom seconded the motion. Voting was unanimous in favor. Motion carried.
The first item of business was a review of the Comprehensive Plan proposed Land Use Map.
Ron Folsom led the review. In order to arrive at the basic map, a copy of the existing zoning map
was used. The Land Use Map was colored the way the properties are now zoned. Next the areas
that should be changed were identified. Also, identified were the added areas.
The property on the west side of Maiben Avenue, which is directly behind the residential
properties on Ross Avenue, is zoned GC-l. This is a concern because there is no buffer between
residential and heavier commercial. The Commission members would like some feed back on
