ACTION ITEMS:
A. Farmers Marker Request – Shelley Yorgenson – Ammon Park Center:
Ron discussed the guidelines of
what the policy is for. The drawings show twenty parking spaces, which is more than they would need. This was
figured by square footage not by how many booths there are. The Farmers Market parking will be completely paved.
All vendors will be required to get a vendors license and the owner of the Farmers Market will need a business license.
Staff will do an inspection on the parking lots and through the season there will be spot inspections for the right amount
of parking that is needed and business licenses. There will be some electricity for booths and Jane will stipulate how
many outlets can be used and what size cord. The hours shall not be before 7:00 am and after 8:00 pm. There are to be
no used items allowed.
Russell Slack motioned to approve the Farmers Market for Shelley Yorgenson at the Ammon Park Center
following technical review by staff including the review on the driveway entrance. Cindy Donavan seconded. All in
favor the motion passed.
B. Farmers Market Request – Southern Parking Lot at Liberty Square:
Ron explained where they would like to
place the booths and they will have parking on the North side of the building.
Steve Richards motioned to approve the Farmers Market at Liberty Square with the understanding that should
the owner determine the Southern parking can accommodate both booths and parking, as long as the parking area is
physically separated from the vending area, this will also be allowed and subject to technical review from staff.
Russell Slack seconded the motion. All in favor the motion passed.
