Council Minutes 10/12/1964 I l~ c..o ct: ........ - ::.c co I I 1 0 -,1 Regular Monthly Meeting of Ammon City Council held October 12, 1964. Meeting called to order by Mayor Reed Molen at 8:00 P.M. Prayer was given by Councilman Harold Loveland.. Those present were Mayor Reed Molen, Councilmen Harold Loveland, George Wehmann, Keith Brown andDon Miller; Attorney Joe AMerson and Clerk Dermont Ricks. Minutes or the meeting held September 14 and the special meeting held September 28, 1964, were read and. approved. Rex Budge, member or the City Planning Board met with the City Council and reported that members or the Planning Board are not attending the meetings. The last three meetings have been short or a quorum, whichms been a waste or time as far as the business was concerned. The Clerk was asked to contact each member of the Planning Board and encourage them to pu,t forth an effort to attend their meetings, and. to call a Planning Board meeting as soon as possible. George Wehmann made a motion the Clerk call Bill Brunt and Dave Benton and ask them to supply an approved plat for the developaent that is now in process on Falcon Drive south of the intersection of the West end. of Sawtooth. Secrmaed by Cormo1lman Keith Brown and the motion cArried. Demont Ricks was asked to contact E. W. Bateman and remind him of his agreement with the City to blacktop the South side of Samuel Street before he sells his house and lot there. Water is to be turned off until work is completed. The City Clerk was also asked to hire men to survey the streets inHilview Addition and prepare them for some seal coating. Councilman George W;hmann wants a written agreement with Roland Romrell for the part of the builaing he is now renting from the City. He.madea motion that Roland. T. Romrell be notified that his lease on the building will be berminated November 15, 1964. Discussion was held but motion was not seconded. Roland. T. Romrell agreed to move out within 30 to 60 days . Discussion was held regarding parking on the streets in Hillview. It was decided by the Council to carry on as has been done in the past. The clerk is to order new traffic signs. Richard Ricks met with the City Council f_. an underst.a.Diing as to where he stands on the road right-of-way jo1.JdDg' his property in the Arnold Wadsworth Addition. He was informed that heddid not have to impose or pay any additional cost for the new existing road. A plat of the McCowin Park was presented to the City Cosmcil by the Mayor for approval of the streets and right-of-ways. Council George Wehmazm made a motion the City accept all streets and right-ot-ways in the McCowin Park, seconded by Councilman Keith Brown, motion passed. The City council approved a ten year lease for property belonging to Bill Brunt, located between Seventh Street and Falcon Drive, to be used tor a City Park at a cost ot $1.00 per year plus taxes. The City Clerk is to contact Utah Power and Light Company tor listings ot residences in ADmon tor water billing purposes.... also to hire two women to take C81SUS ot the City of Ammon. Bishop Elmer Holmgren lIl8t with the City Council to try to solve the school bus parking problems on the streets ot Ammon. Atter a lengthy dis- cussion be asked tor a little t_ to work things out.
