However, before sub- divisi ns are approved, the developer is asked to make plans for taking care of water draina e. For instance, the Southwick Addition plans as drawn up by Engineer Benton allow or surface drainage water to pond in back of the lots, so the curb and gutter is stake out to this effect. The land is still there for this drainage even though the lot sizes ave been adjusted. It wa s w r i tte W ate r noted that as of this date (14 days after the public hearing) there have been no reports or comments on the Environmental Assessment of the proposed and Sewer Project. Attorney Anderson will be contacted, and the correct legal procedure followed in calling for bids. Counc Iman Cheney will meet with officials of the Ammon Junior High School in the near f ture to make arrangements for gymnasium time for City-sponsored basketball and w' 1 also look into the possibility of having karate lessons again. Attor ey Smith reviewed the procedure for hearings and passing of a recodification ordin nee as outlined by Att::>rney Anderson in a letter addressed to Councilman Richa dson and Planning Commission Chairman Jim Southwick. Especially noted was t at publication of the complete recodified code is not necessary and a public heari g is not required but recommended. However, a public hearing on the Zoning Ordin nee is required with 15 days notice to be given. This hearing could be at a regul r council meeting, and at the same meeting the City could proceed with the readi g of the Recodification Ordinance, which should be read at three (3) separate rrieeti gS. cisio on the on th ille County Sheriff Blaine Skinner was present to explain some proposals per- to contracting of law enforcement work for the City of hmmon and a proposal uggested change in the temporary agreement for the balance of this year. Sheriff Skinner asked for constructive comments service which is being provided at this time, and it was recommended that adar patrolling be done during the morning hours when children are going to Mayo Turnbow reported that the City will get $16, 046 for 1972 under the Federal Reve ue Sharing Act, with half of it to be received this year. Councilmen were reque ted to make recommendations about how this money can be used to the best adva age of the City.
