CHAPTER 5 Title 2 Citizens Advisory Committee CHAPTER 5 CITIZEN ADVISORY COMMITTEE SECTION: Appointment 2-5-1: Qualifications 2-5-2: Compensation 2-5-3: Organization 2-5-4: Duties 2-5-5: 2-5-1: APPOINTMENT: The Mayor may, subject to confirmation by the Council, appoint various Citizen Advisory Committees of up to fourteen (14) members, who shall serve at the pleasure of the Mayor and Council. 2-5-2: QUALIFICATIONS: All members of the Committee shall have resided within the City of Ammon for a minimum of six (6) months. 2-5-3: COMPENSATION: No compensation shall be paid to any member for the serves on the Committee. 2-5-4: ORGANIZATION: The Committee shall select one (1) of its members as chairman and one (1) member as secretary, and shall keep a written record of all meetings of the Committee, and of all recommendations which the Committee may make to the Mayor and Council. All meetings of the Committee shall be posted as a public meeting. 2-5-5: DUTIES: The Committee shall be given direction from the Mayor and Council on the specific item or concern to be addressed. The Committee shall furnish the Mayor and Council a report or recommendation as directed at the time responsibilities are assigned. 2-5-6: TERM: The term of each appointment shall be as set by the City Council at the time of the assignment. Terms can be renewed by a vote of the City Council.
